CLT Thrift - GW LoSo

Have you ever heard of a thrift store designed in such a fashion that you feel as though you're stepping into a high-end boutique? Well, guess what? They really do exist and guess who's behind it?!?! Goodwill! Yes! Goodwill!

To test the waters in Charlotte, Goodwill set up the first Goodwill {GW} boutique experience as a pop-up in the Epicentre in 2015. A permanent store then opened at the Goodwill Opportunity Campus in 2016. Flash forward two years later and now a second location is opening in lower southend (LoSo) at 3609 South Boulevard - just across from the Scaleybark lightrail stop!

You may ask what's so special about the GW. It's extremely obvious the minute you open the doors. The merchandising - women and men's apparel and accessories along with home décor tucked here and there - is amazing. There's no need to inspect every thread for wear, tear, stains or holes. Prices are more aligned to consignment but it may be worth it to spare the headache. These items have gone through a careful inspection and thoughtful selection process. Here you can find retail and designer brands neatly displayed and organized. And just like with the first location, delicious Community Table Bistro* options aren't far. The LoSo location has a selection of grab and go food items! Win - win situation all around - great dibs and good eats!

I had the opportunity to attend a Sip & See pre-opening event - complete with hand-selected GW picks from Charlotte's favorite stylists, DJ, small bites and nail station. Now, that's some Goodwill shopping! Check out some of my pictures!
